Prayer Offered with a Desire to Conceive

As I was praying by confessing scriptures and claiming promises of God in my life, God placed a burden in my heart to pray for others before praying for me. He is reminding me of women in my life who are praying for a child at this time. Here I’ve used Jackie Mize’s Supernatural Childbirth Book as a framework for Praying for conception: Prayer Offered with a Desire to Conceive Father, we thank You that children are the heritage of the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is His reward. Children are Your idea father; You thought of children, and family and home. You instituted the family in the Garden of Eden. You ordered children; You commanded them when You said to Adam and Eve, “Be faithful and multiply.” You said that the barren womb is never satisfied. Lord, the Word declared that I am wonderfully and fearfully made by You; therefore, I’m perfect and able to conceive and have children. You said that I would be a fruitful vine by the side of our house and our children like ol...

Are you looking for some creative ideas during lent? Are you wanting a challenge for you to make a change? Are you someone like me who wants to do more than just the routine in life? Here's a few pages of my personal life journey.... It is that time of the year when you have the dates set for your travel for the Summer to visit family and friends back home. That's even worse post-wedding. So,  returning home after a year with more pounds added to your body mass inevitably means you are going to be a victim of your loved ones' comments (don't get me wrong here- it's all out of love and concern!) So, I started pondering on...

Tips to Improve Your Blogger Experience: Students & Educators Tool

My students have started their own blog this semester and as their professor I wanted to guide them through this process of becoming bloggers. The more I am exploring this realm, the more I have been reminded of how distinct blogging is from academic writing. I’m writing this post to support my students, as well as other educators venturing into blogging. The fact is, making a blog is simple but, in the era of knowledge abundance, enticing people to read your posts is not so easy. Our mobile era places each of us in an endless stream of digital resources. We make choices, often very quickly, about what to read and what to disregard. A study by Buffer found that 55% of people read online articles for 15 seconds before moving on. Michelle Pacansky-Brock, a digital innovation mentor provides a list of 9 things you can do improve the number of people who read your posts. Be meaningful. The most important thing for you to do in your blog posts is to write about th...
